2 Corinthians 5:1-5

God’s act of new creation completely changes the way Paul sees the world around him — including his perception of death. In this passage, the apostle expresses hope in the promise of resurrection. The “earthly body” suffers all the affliction of this present age, an age that is subject to sin and death. This body has limitations and will die. Yet, Paul has abundant hope that one day we will have an “eternal body”. This great hope of resurrection is a challenge to the church to live as God’s new creation now, be ambassadors for Christ, and bear witness to the Good News.

When you consider the hope in the promise of resurrection, what do you long for the most?

Throughout the rest of the Lenten season, pray daily for someone you know doesn’t have a relationship with Christ.
